Quick-time events in the nighttime stages are very hard, and are punishing if you fail to complete them. The nighttime stages are a blast to play, except for these few reasons: the nighttime stages are very challenging, and are very long. If Sonic falls off a cliff or into water he will scream. Sonic can be set on fire, and he will flail with pain. There is no blood but there is mild-violence in the nighttime stages, such as: kicking, punching, clawing, slamming, and throwing. I won't spoil any more of the story for people who haven't played the game, but I will talk about gameplay. Sonic then decides to help Chip regain his memory. Sonic is then thrown back down to Earth, landing on the light-Gaia spirit Chip, and cause him to lose his memory.
